Baseball season always brings back GREAT memories. Not only was it fun for me to play but also fun to go and watch you play. I mostly remember watching you play from the Holy Cross field. Remember that one time when you were playing and you had to call time out in the middle of the game to go to the bathroom. That sure was funny!!! Remember that one year when we made up our own teams and then played down at Brown Park. It was your friends against my friends. That was so fun. I would have liked to get something like that together again. I also like to take the boys to watch you play softball with UPS. We enjoyed that. I bet you they sure miss you! Our family didn't get the best skills in sports but that never stopped us. You played to the end and I am very proud! I love and miss you David!!!!
We were in high school and someone stole my car. It was in the morning and the cop was at our house. I guess I don't remember why you couldn't drive to school, maybe your car was broke, I don't know. You and dad probably had a project going on. Any how, Jason Rytych had to come and pick us up. 2 blocks up the street we see my car and some looser trying to start it so he can drive it to school (our school). Jason stops and you jump out...I was so furious at this point. What if he would have had a gun or knife? You chased the kid down the street...he fell to the ground and you held him there so me and Jason could go back to the house and get the cop. I ran inside and told him we found my car up the street and you had the kid down on the ground. I remember when we pulled up there and the cop got out...he said..."Wow, you sure made my job easy!" I can't believe you chased after him...well...I can but still...that was pretty stupid!

School was snowed out...we didn't want to stay home but no one would come and pick us up and bring us to Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's house. The snow was so deep. We walked all the way to their house, Me, Chris, David, and of course Sugar. We got into so much trouble for walking there. I remember how mad mom was. But guess what...we got to go sleding down the huge hill. That was so fun, I loved having our own hill to sled down. There were lots of trees but that was half the fun trying to dodge them all. Some times we would make it all the way down to the railroad tracks. That was a big hill we had to walk all the way back up. That was ok though, grandpa would have the heater in the basement going for us to warm up with. Those were the days! I bet you get to spend lots of time with Grandma and Grandpa Nelson now huh?
I remember when my dad bought my brother a dirt bike. David taught me out to ride it. I could never start it. David would have to start it for me, getting off and holding the clutch. I would they try and take off...never failed, he would have to start it once again after I 'killed' it by letting the cluth out too fast. We used to have so much fun riding that bike! Too bad the Kennedy Freeway took over our good riding spot! It was fun to go down and drive it on the dirt freeway. Ha we were one of the first to drive on the freeway...too bad it was still dirt then. :o) I sure miss my big brother! I really wish there was a way for me to bring him back home to us.
